BC, has hosted dozens of civilizations throughout its history. Natural spring water still flows from the mountain Antoninler city fountain, built in 160 AD. e. Despite the fact that the city is located at an altitude of 160 m from the sea and away from the main road, almost 50 thousand tourists visited it last year (2019). The ancient city still reveals many unique historical artifacts during excavations. Sagalassos is located in southwestern Turkey, approximately 105 km north of Antalya and 35 km from the cities of Burdur and Isparta. Sagalassos is located on Mount Akdag, at an altitude of 1450 –1700 meters. During the times of the ancient Romans, this settlement was known as the “first city of Pisidia”, and it occupied not the last place among other cities. Excavations around the fountain and its restoration began in 1998 and ended in 2010. The originals of the four fountain sculptures discovered by archaeologists are exhibited at the Burdur Archeology Museum, and their copies can be seen in the fountain itself.
